Imtiyazur Rehman

Imtaiyazur Rahman  is currently working as the. Managing Director & CEO of UTI Mutual Fund. He has been with the UTI Group since 1998 and with the UTI AMC since 2003. Prior to UTI AMC, he has worked with Bells Controls Ltd., Leasing Finance India Ltd. and Sumeet Machines Ltd. etc. 

Imtaiyaz demonstrated foresight, integrity & successful outcomes and and has over 37 overs  of experience in business leadership, leading change and forming strategic alliances. His  credentials include turning around business, growing revenues, enhancing enterprise value and providing thought leadership to the mutual fund industry.  He led major M&A initiatives like induction of a foreign strategic shareholder in the company, acquisition of schemes of ILFS Mutual Fund and successful IPO  of UTI AMC Ltd. He has successfully transformed the group   as a Board Governed and professionally managed asset manager and implemented  the highest standards of corporate governance as well as the global  best business practices . He is leading the digital transformation of the entire group and strongly believes in the practices of Diversity, Equity and Inclusiveness. 

Imtaiyaz has significant experience in the area of Alternate Investments, Portfolio Management Services, Pension Fund management, Offshore funds & International business.  He has been instrumental in enhancing the international visibility of the UTI Group through its offices in Singapore, London, Paris and Dubai. 
 
He is on the boards of UTI Alternatives Pvt. Ltd., UTI Retirement Solutions Ltd., UTI Venture Funds Management Co. Pvt. Ltd and UTI International Ltd and IndianOil Adani Ventures Ltd.
 
Imtaiyaz is the current Chairperson for the FICCI Task Force on ESG for 2023; member of the CII National Committee on Financial Markets; and Banking & Finance Committee of IMC Chamber of Commerce & Industry.  He was on the Board of Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) and is presently a permanent invitee to the AMFI Board Meetings.

 Imtaiyaz is a Science graduate and has acquired professional qualifications like Fellow Member of Institute of Cost Accountants of India and Institute of Company Secretaries of India; Certified Public Accountancy (USA); GAMP from Indian School of Business & Kellogg School of Management; Leadership programme - “Leading for Results” from INSEAD (France);  

He holds ESG Competent Board’s Global Certification & Designation and has a Honorary Doctorate degree, D.Litt, by the ITM University, Raipur.

Imtaiyaz has been awarded with The Corporate Board Certificate by Harvard Business School.
